Natural Stone is a geographical list of stone used for decorative purposes in construction and monumental sculpture; currently or historically produced in various countries. In addition, hard stone carving uses many types of gemstones. The dimension stone industry classifies stone based on appearance and hardness as either “granite”, “marble” or “slate”. The granite of the dimension-stone industry along with truly granitic rock also includes gneiss, gabbro, anorthosite and even some sedimentary rocks.
Natural Stone Swimming Pool Coping Stones
Cut and shaped from specially selected stone both from the UK and imported from around the world, our natural stone swimming pool copings are crafted specifically for the swimming pool environment.
We produce standard sizes designed to fit the most popular pools and step units and with our facilities here we are able to design bespoke pool copings either to template or to CAD drawing with a choice of different edge profiles to create a specific look for individual projects.
Natural Stone Tiles
Selected from the same quarries as our swimming pool coping stones, our natural stone tiles have been sourced to suit pool surrounds. A selection of different finishes is available to create different looks for the pool room and surrounding areas. Each stone type and finish gives rise to a different level of slip resistance which can be chosen according to particular requirements. Slip resistance can often be enhanced by choosing a “sandblast” finish to the stone which can be applied at our yard. Alternatively, there are “slip-resistant” sealers on the market which can be applied on site. It is essential that any sealers chosen must be suitable for both the stone type chosen and the pool surround environment.
Our tiles are also perfectly suited to other areas in the house, particularly bathrooms, wet rooms, kitchens and halls. Natural Stone Paving
From traditional mixed size riven paving through to contemporary single size straight edged pavers, our range of natural stone paving covers all types of garden projects. Selected for its quality and durability our paving is calibrated underneath for easier and quicker laying. We have a range of natural riven and sawn sandstones, straight edged or tumbled limestones with honed or brushed finishes, English York Stone, granites and basalts. We can create steps, edging or wall capping in matching or coordinating stone to complete the look.
Deck Level Grilles
Designed and crafted in-house, our range of natural stone deck level grilles has been created to lift the level deck pool to the next level. Working to SPATA standards, our grilles are available in many of our natural stones which have been chosen for their suitability to the deck level environment. Available in four different styles, we produce each grille project individually to specific requirements to match or complement the surrounding tile or alternatively as part of a refurbishment project.
Our grilles are also available in a reinforced tile for air vents and patio drainage.
